ABOUT ME!
Megan Barnes grew up in York County, Pennsylvania, where she was well-known throughout the community for her love of the performing arts. She spent her childhood doing plays and musicals, as well as dancing, singing, acting, and baton twirling.
In 2013, she won the Regional, State, and National Baton Twirling Championships for the Intermediate Division, ages 15-23, and was crowned Debutante Princess. She was also the Feature Twirler of the marching band throughout High School.
In high school, Megan began voice lessons and received training at Barbizon School of Acting and Modeling, where she had the opportunity to learn from Hollywood Casting Director Paul Weber, Michael Jay of Jambo Studios, and Stevi Meredith of Meredith Management. After high school, Megan took some time off and joined the Army. She served as an Active Duty Public Affairs Specialist with the 25th Infantry Division prior to being medically retired in 2019.
Megan currently lives in Pennsylvania with her two adopted pups, Nena and Skippy. She travels for performance opportunities and regularly practices voice with Joe Reed of Double Reed Music in Glen Rock, PA.
Her most notable roles include Florence Corney in Solace Theatre's production of Rosie & the Magnificent Neverender in Clayton, NC, where she was featured on the Original Cast Recording (Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon); Rose Carol in the Gilbert Theater's production of The Carols (Best Supporting Actress); Grace Garson in the world premiere of Ruins at the Gilbert Theater; and The Conductor in Hershey Trolley Works' production of the Original Trolley Show at Hershey's Chocolate World, where she was recently awarded Rookie of the Year.
Currently, Megan can be seen in Hershey's Chocolate World's top-rated attraction, The Original Trolley Show, as the Conductor. Find more information HERE. She is also training with Max Hambleton, award winning actor, film maker, and published writer who has performed in dozens of films, TV shows, and plays in New York, Los Angeles, and across the country; as well as Bernard Glincosky, professional actor, director, and producer with a pioneering career reflecting solid leadership and hands-on experience within the entertainment field.
